Register Interest in Future Beginner’s Courses
We normally run a Beginners’ Course once a year. It usually runs for 10 weeks at Martlesham Community Hall, Martlesham Heath, Ipswich IP12 4PB.
During this 10-week course (in two 5-week blocks) our teachers, Richard and Mandy, will provide you with a solid foundation in the key elements of Argentine Tango in an enjoyable sociable environment. The course concentrates on how to lead and follow the fundamental steps of Tango. The dance is improvised to the music so there are no long sequences to learn.
The coronavirus has curtailed our activities, but we will be running a Beginners’ course, initially for 5 weeks, starting in September 2020.
If you would like to be kept informed about future Beginners’ Courses, please register an interest by clicking on and completing the form below:
We are not able to offer places for those under 18 years of age.
Argentine Tango exists in many forms from the show tango of Strictly Come Dancing to the more gentle social dance done in the milongas of Buenos Aires and around the world. We teach the social dance, which can evolve towards something more ‘showy’ as you become more skilled and experienced. To give you an example of the social dance this video shows one of our very popular guest teachers, Gabriela Fernandez from Buenos Aires doing a demonstration to a group of her students in France.
